Steve Challans
President

Steve has been working in IT field since 1984, including technical and senior IT roles in commercial organisations. He has been specialising InfoSec and consulting since 1999. He currently works in a senior capacity for CQR Consulting as an Information Security Specialist. Steve has been a
member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) since 2004. He has experience in IT governance principles, COBIT, and ISO17799/27001 frameworks, corporate security policies, standards, and procedures, network and server security, application SDLC, ITIL, Business
Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

Steve is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI-QSA), Cisco Certified Security Professional
(CCSP) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).


Jamie Arnfield
Vice-President

Jamie is a Senior Manager at KPMG, where he specialises in information security consulting. After an early career in application development and system integration, the last nine years have been dedicated to information security. During that time, he has assisted government and commercial clients throughout Australia, Singapore, and the USA in assessing, improving, and certifying their information security infrastructure.

Jamie received an MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, USA, and a Bachelor of Science (Math. & Comp. Sc.) from the University of Adelaide. He is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and an Archer Certified Consultant.


 

Angela Gooley

Angela has been a member of ISACA Adelaide since 2005. Angela completed her CISA certification in June 2005. Additionally, Angela is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Angela gained experience in IT Security, IT Audit, risk management, process analysis/improvement and financial audit whilst working for Ernst & Young for seven years in Adelaide, Asia, Europe and America.

More recently Angela was the Group Governance Manager for a publicly listed hospitality group, including oversight of the security of the online casino systems.  Currently Angela works for Santos Limited in an internal audit and risk management role encompassing all aspects of the business, including IT.

Tim is an IT Specialist at SA Department of Planning and Local Government. responsible for ICT infrastructure and operations. Tim has over 25 years of broad experience in Information and Communications Technology in Government, is a member of the Australian Computer Society and IT Service Management Forum of Australia (itSMFA), and currently undertaking the Master of Science in IT course at Carnegie Mellon University. Tim joined ISACA in 2009, and is the Treasurer and asistant webmaster for the Adelaide Chapter.

 

 


Bob Smart

Bob has been working in the ICT industry since 1995 in information security management, operations, business analysis, IT security audit and consulting roles for banking, insurance, retail, transport, education, government and manufacturing organisations.

Bob is currently a Manager, ICT Security at Shared Services SA and acting as the IT Security Advisor for this South Australian Government Agency.

Prior to this role, Bob worked at PwC as a Manager in Risk and Control Solutions practice in Adelaide, specialising in information security, governance and IT controls. Prior to joining PwC in 2005, Bob tutored at the University of South Australia whilst undertaking various IT projects within AusBulk (nowadays Viterra), SA Water and EDS (nowadays HP). Bob has been a guest lecturer at UniSA since 2004. Bob has published articles in ICT periodicals and journals in Australia and Europe.

Bob has been a member of the ISACA Adelaide Chapter Board since 2006 in roles of Membership Director and Webmaster. Bob has participated on the panel of global ISACA webmasters assisting in functional requirement development for the ISACA international website. Bob is currently responsible for certification programs and the website management at the local Chapter.

Bob completed his Master of Business Information Systems in 2005 and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Risk and Information System Controls (CRISC) specialist.


Sarah Mason

Sarah has been working within the field of ICT for over 15 years. The first ten of those spent in the UK providing network and s
ecurity managed services working for various Service Providers/Network Integrators. Since moving to Australia 5 years ago, Sarah worked in the Dimension Data Security Practice for two years before moving into the Government of South Australia in 2007. She spent three years managing the Governments Central Data Network and Central Internet Gateway, before her recent move to the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Security and Risk Assurance Directorate as the Principal Risk Advisor. Sarah joined ISACA in 2009 and is a Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) and Certified Risk and Information System Controls (CRISC) specialist.

Shannon Jerkovic
Membership Director

Shannon is a Manager within Ernst & Young’s IT Risk and Assurance practice, with her professional experience extending across a variety of areas, including IT internal and external audit assessments, IT governance, information security, business continuity and disaster recovery. Her experience spans across multiple industry sectors, including financial services, energy & natural resources, manufacturing, government and consumer & industrial markets. Shannon has worked on numerous high profile clients in Adelaide, interstate and in the United States. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Shannon was employed with KPMG for 5½ years in their Adelaide IT Advisory practice.

Shannon completed her Bachelor of Information Technology from Flinders University and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).


Yvonne Sears
Membership Coordinator

Yvonne has over 11 years practical experience in information security and have so far successfully helped several organisations through ISO 27001 certification and recertification. She has been involved in a number of trailblazer projects, specifically around the Caldicott Standard and Data Protection Act, enabling local authorities to establish a plan for effective data sharing with other agencies. Yvonne is also specialised in Business Continuity and BS 25999. Yvonne is also a trainer has written training courses.

Yvonne has achieved an MSc in Information Security and Computer Crime, in addition to an Advanced Award in Information Law. She is an ISEB Risk Practitioner, Lead Auditor (for BS 25999 and ISO 27001) and a Certified Information Security Manager.


Duncan Worsley
Marketing Coordinator and Webmaster

Duncan is a Senior Manager in the Risk and Controls Solutions practice at PwC, where he specialises in IT security and controls. He has over 14 years experience providing IT security advice and services across a variety of technology areas and industry sectors including energy, finance and government in UK, New Zealand and Australia.

Duncan has an MBA from the Institut de Management Européen des Affaires, France. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA) practitioner.
