| ACS/ISACA
Conference 2010 |
|

In October 2010 the ISACA Adelaide Chapter teamed with the Australian
Computer Society‘s (ACS) local branch and hosted a 1-day conference
which was held at the Adelaide Festival Centre. Over 100 people
took part and enjoyed the speakers and activities in multiple streams.
The ISACA-sponsored security stream had some thought provoking presentations
and round tables. The conference proved to be a great success for
our members and also the chapter, judging by the interest in ISACA
materials and programs offered at the ISACA Adelaide booth.
Following the conference a 1 day workshop was conducted and attended
solely by ISACA members. The workshop was entitled Conversations
that Count and Linda Chaousis, Managing Director of Right Angle
Strategies led the workshop. High praise was given by the select
band that attended and all felt that they went away with something
new to put into their leadership toolkit.
ISACA Adelaide Chapter would like to thank all presenters and delegates
at the joint ACS/ISACA Conference 2010.

| |
|
Adelaide is the Capital city
of the state of South Australia. The state has a population of approximately
1.5 million people and is best known for its superb wines, excellent
chocolate and locally made ice cold beer!
The Adelaide Chapter was formed on 14 March 1983 and
has been an active and vibrant Chapter for 28 years.
Adelaide has an active membership and a dedicated
and enthusiastic Board. The Chapter has consistently provided significant
input to ISACA® at the local,
regional and international level. Adelaide has continually contributed
well above its weight to a number of key ISACA Boards and Committees
over the years, including the Research Board, the Standards Board,
and the Global Program Committee. Our Chapter past-presidents -
Jo Stewart-Rattray and Howard Nicholson are heavily involved at
a national, regional and international levels.
The Chapter is committed to providing ongoing support
and professional development
and networking opportunities to its members and has received
a number of regional and international awards
for it activities.
Professional Development Sessions
are held on a regular basis and feature contemporary and leading
edge topics utilising high profile local speakers. The Chapter is
looking to provide its members with an even greater range of professional
development activities which will give CISAs,
CISMs, CGEITs and CRISCs more ways to gain Continuing Professional
Education (CPE) points.
Once you have browsed the web site, please feel free to provide
any comments or feedback that will help us to give our members more
appropriate and relevant materials that would be of benefit to them.
Contact details for Board members
