Annual General Meeting 2010

As Secretary of the ISACA Adelaide Chapter I advise the Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 12th October 2010 at Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide, 125 North Terrace, Adelaide at 12:15pm for 12:30pm start.

To advise of your attendance, you can register using the instructions on the AGM Notice.

A lunch is provided consisting of an entrée, main course and drinks for a nominal cost of $30 for members and $40 for non-members (prospective members at members price).

Please note that the lunch is heavily subsidised by the Chapter and must be paid in advance to the Mercure Grosvenor Hotel based on the number of members confirmed as attending. If you are unable to attend on the day then the onus rests on you to ensure that someone attends in your place (does not have to be a member). Otherwise we will be forced to recover the cost of the meal from you.

I also advise that nominations are now invited for the following positions on the 2010/2011 ISACA Adelaide Chapter Board.

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Directors (Minimum 2 to maximum 5 positions)

Appointments commence on the day of the election.

ELIGIBILITY:
Only financial members of the ISACA Adelaide Chapter are eligible for nomination. For a nomination to be valid it must show the name and address of an eligible candidate and be signed by the candidate as evidence of willingness to accept nomination.
Please note that nominations do not have to be counter signed by another member of the Chapter as proposer.

PRESIDENT
For the position of President it is recommended that the candidate have at least one year experience on the Chapter Board. Some interstate and overseas travel is required to attend meetings as the chapter representative.

TREASURER
The candidate should have a basic knowledge of accounting and experience in the use of MYOB or similar accounting package would be an advantage.

SECRETARY
The candidate would find a good knowledge of MS Word an advantage.

CLOSING DATE FOR NOMINATIONS:
Nominations must reach the Secretary no later than 5:00pm, Friday 1st October, 2010 and may be posted to PO Box 104, Adelaide SA 5001 or e-mailed to the addresses on the nomination form.

The onus rests with those concerned to ensure that nominations are lodged before the closing date.

ELECTION:
The Elected Officers and Directors nominated shall be elected by a majority of the votes of the members present and voting at the meeting.

The candidate is required to populate and submit a‘‘Willingness to Serve Form’.
